Weddings
Weddings are a very special time in a couple’s life. It’s a new beginning. From the proposal to the wedding day is a whirlwind experience for everyone. I offer packages that incorporate engagement photos to the final dance at the wedding. I try to capture the smallest details along with the big moment. My goal is to capture the emotion as the events of the day unfold, the special stolen moments that show love and joy of the couple uniting as one and to tell the story of their day through photographs.
During the wedding and celebration, I shoot the traditional photos, the bride, the family, the wedding party, and any other moments the couple asks me to capture. Then I fade into the background and remain unobtrusive during the rest of the days’ events. This lets me capture special moments not only of the Bride and Groom, but also of everyone surrounding them through their joyous occasion. Capturing the emotion of family and friends as they celebrate the occasion provides you with a glimpse into moments you may not have seen yourself and provides memories to be shared for generations.

How I work with you
- Our first meeting: At the first meeting I listen to the couple to get a sense of what is important to them, the people dearest to them the moments, and what that day means to them. We also review the contract, package details, and the list of events or shots they would like me to capture.
- Our second meeting: We’ll meet again two weeks before the event to finalize the details. I will review the days’ events, the important photos to capture, and the other details of the day.
- The rehearsal: I attend the rehearsal to watch how the processional will happen. Every wedding is different and I want to be sure I know where to be ahead of time and to speak with the efficient about rules about flash and what areas are off limits.
- The wedding day: I’ll be there with you from getting ready, to walking down the aisle to the final good bye. During the day, if there is a group or photo you want me to capture that we didn’t discuss, just let me know. I’m flexible in meeting your photographic needs for your big day.
- Post-wedding meeting: About 30 days after ceremony I will meet with you to present a proof book, if applicable, during this meeting we can review photos that you would like to enhance, order, or add to a book.
- Delivery: We’ll meet again when the photos and books are delivered. You can also continue to order individual photos from me if requested by relatives or friends.
Payments
Payments can be made in 3 installments. I request the first payment of 30% due at contract signing. This is a nonrefundable retainer to save the date. The second payment is due 2 weeks prior to the event and the third payment is due on delivery of proofs. Please click here to view my packages.
Portraits
I love capturing portraits and family photos. It is a wonderful experience working with families to help capture specific milestones and events in life’s journey.
I feel portraits can be looked at two ways. One is the traditional sitting portrait with everyone nicely organized in rows, sitting pretty, and looking at the camera. The other is placing families in a more natural setting and capturing the fun and love that exists between them. I offer both and will combine both styles based on my clients’ requests.
How I work with you
When I set out to shoot a family portrait, I talk with my clients to understand the family dynamics, the purpose of the portrait, and the types of photos they would like to capture. As a mom, I feel sometimes the best moments I capture of my children interacting with each other are when they think I’m not looking. I apply this to my sessions with families to capture the smiles, fun, and love of all members of the family.
